强化团结规则是否有利于促进群体内部合作?——来自人工实地实验的证据

Will Strengthening the Norm of Solidarity Improve Ingroup Cooperation?——Evidence from Artefactual Field Experiment

现有研究表明群体规则在人的行为决策中扮演着重要角色。利用人工实地实验的研究方法,从社会认同视角出发重新看待群体规则,并以团结规则为例对团结规则强化机制是否能够有效提升群体内部合作的研究表明:首先,强化团结规则能够有效提高个体对身份对应群体的认同,进而使同群成员的合作水平提升。其次,针对拥有身份时间长短不同的个体,团结规则强化机制产生的实验效应不同,具体表现为拥有身份时间短的个体其群体内部合作水平提升较高且显著,而拥有身份时间长的个体其群体内部合作水平则不存在显著变化。最后,当个体具有多重身份时,上述实验效应依然存在。

Existing researches have shown that group norms play an important role in influencing people’s behavior.Different from previous studies and following the influence path of social identity,this paper uses Artefactual Field Experiment to study whether strengthening the norm of solidarity improves ingroup cooperation.The results show that strengthening the norm of solidarity about a group will make individuals more identifying with their social identity which consequently improves cooperation among ingroup members.Furthermore,this paper also finds that experiment effects are different for individuals with different length of time owning the identity.Individuals who own their social identity for a long period of time will deeply identify their group,while individuals who own their social identity shortly will behave differently.Therefore,for those individuals who own social identity shortly,the treatment effect of strengthening group norm will be larger than the other way.Another finding in this paper shows that the conclusions above are still valid for individuals with multiple identities.
