“天色晴明。”南宋淳熙年间(1174—1189)某一年的六月初六清晨,临安寿安坊的百姓陆续在头陀的报晓声中开了门,忙活起一天的生计。寿安坊,俗称冠巷,也叫官巷,聚集着大量售卖女子服饰的知名商铺,这里是京都最为繁盛的里坊之一。官巷的一处雅致小院里,住着一个名叫林遇仙的厨娘。她才二十一岁,已是京都富家争相邀聘的名厨。这天一大早,林遇仙洗漱妥当便换上了一身讲究的衣裙。
On the Sixth day of June of a year during the Chunxi period of the Southern Song Dynasty,Lin Yuxian,a female cook living in Shouan lane of the capital city Lin’an,started a busy day with her apprentice Zhang Saige.They ran over the gaily-painted pleasure boat by the West Lake,the magnificent mansion by the West River and the Taihe Restaurant in the east of Taihe Bridge without a stop.They were so skilled that no feast could overwhelm them.
