浙江南麂列岛国家级海洋自然保护区是1990年9月经国务院批准设立的我国首批五个国家级海洋类型自然保护区之一。1998年12月,南麂列岛加入联合国教科文组织世界生物圈保护区网络。2005年,南麂列岛被《中国国家地理》杂志等全国23家媒体评为"中国最美的十大海岛"之一。

Nanji Islands National Marine Protected Areas is the first five national marine protected areas approved by the State Council in September 1990.Nanji Islands was listed in"Top Ten Beautiful Islands in China"by the State Oceanic Administration in 2016.With the beautiful marine scenery and good ecological environment,it is the exclusive national shellfish and alga marine protected areas and so earns the name of the"Kingdom of Shellfish and Alga".
