第32届夏季奥林匹克运动会受全球新冠肺炎疫情影响推迟一年,于2021年7月23日至8月8日在日本东京举行。本届奥运会共设33个大项、339个小项的比赛。中国体育代表团431名运动员参加了30个大项、225个小项的比赛,取得38枚金牌、32枚银牌、18枚铜牌,共计88枚奖牌,位列金牌榜和奖牌榜第2位,金牌数追平了境外参加奥运会的最好成绩。
