咸腥的海风从古老的杭州湾吹来,带来潮水,也带来财富。宁波市杭州湾新区庵东镇曾是全国著名产盐基地,有"浙江盐都"之名。"因庵得名、因盐出名、因湾闻名、因桥扬名"的庵东镇,自2010年4月起委托宁波市杭州湾新区管理,成为新区的唯一乡镇,开启了历史性发展。在美丽城镇建设过程中,庵东镇紧扣建设要求,按照"老镇区有机提升、新城区高品质建设"的目标,全面梳理资源,突出规划引领,实现了从小渔村到滨海强镇的华丽蜕变。
