"四明古郡,水陆之饶。"在宁波市鄞州区姜山镇南面,有一个被誉为"中国进士第一村"的浙东古村——走马塘村。自北宋至明清,这个水乡古村共出了76名进士,"学霸"的基因赓续了数百年。走马塘村名的来历,与陈氏家族有着密不可分的关系。存放在宁波天一阁的陈氏家谱,清楚地记载了这个家族的千年变迁。北宋端拱元年(988),苏州进士陈矜任明州(今宁波市)知府。他勤政爱民,为救百姓舍生取义,死后葬在走马塘北面的茅山。其子陈轩为父守孝,带家眷定居走马塘。此后,陈氏子孙以耕读持家,兴学重教,繁衍至今已传38代。
In the south of Jiangshan Town,Yinzhou District,Ningbo,there is the ancient village Zoumatang,known as the"No.1 Village of Scholars in China".Since the NorthernS ong Dynasty,76 successful candidates in the highest imperial examinationshad come forth in the village.The village is therefore famous for cultivating top students.
