Puyuan Town

桐乡市濮院镇地处长三角平原腹地,沪、杭、苏中间节点,隋朝始建的京杭大运河穿境而过,镇域总面积60平方公里,辖5个居民社区、13个行政村,总人口约20万。嘉禾巨镇,濮绸故里。濮院气候温和,水网密布,土地肥沃,被誉为"鱼米之乡、百花盛地"。自宋代濮氏迁居本地后,农桑和丝织业不断发展,所产濮绸白净、细滑、柔韧耐洗,系绸中上品,以“日出万匹绸”成为“嘉禾一巨镇”,是明清时期江南五大名镇之一。

Puyuan Town takes "professionalization, digitization, fashion-orientation and internationalization" as the development path, infuses itself into the integration of Yangtze River Delta development strategy to serve cities and countries. With the goal of achieving "Five Beauties", the town does well in eight aspects including ecological civilization, culture inheritance, city-industry integration, urban-rural integration, appearance administration, high-quality livelihood, efficient governance and ensuring mechanism. It makes endeavor to be provincial model town of node-style beautiful town by the end of 2020 and constructs a new Puyuan Town integrating tradition with fashion.
