湖州荻港村是杭嘉湖平原上一个静谧的江南水乡古村,古村河港两岸芦苇丛生,荻花飞舞,从而得名"荻港"。荻港村自古有"苕溪渔隐"之称,四面环水,京杭大运河的支流"苕溪河"穿村而过,和孚漾、杭湖锡航道、龙溪港三条水路带来丰富的水资源和食物,村居门前屋后绿桑成荫,鱼塘连片,把古村围成一个物产丰饶的世外桃源。
Digang village in Huzhou is a quiet Jiangnan-style ancient village on the Hangjiahu Plain with a long history, numerous historical sites and crisscross water lanes and streets. The village has witnessed prosperity as well as decline, but villagers here have been living a leisurely life all the time.
