Objective To explore the application effect of improved early warning score(MEWS)guidance in the early stage of nursing risk assessment in ICU.Methods 540 cases of ICU patients in our hospital from May 2016~May 2017 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was graded according to the three level evaluation system. The experimental group was graded with MEWS score, and the corresponding nursing plan was formulated according to the result of the score, and the nursing resources were allocated. Results Compared with the control group, the time of ICU in the experimental group was shorter, and the independent sample t test suggested that the two groups of data was statistical significance(P<0.05).and there was no statistical significance between the two groups(P>0.05).Under the guidance of improved early warning scoring model, the rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, unplanned extubation and ICU mortality of the experimental group were lower than the control group, the success rate of cardiopulmonary resuscitation was higher than the control group, respiratory failure, pulmonary infection and gastrointestinal bleeding were lower than the control group, there were statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion the effect of ICU nursing risk assessment based on improved early warning score is significant,it can reduce the complications effectively, reduce the accident of ICU nursing and improve the prognosis of the patients.
