Emergency management strategies of obstetric department in a designated tertiary hospital in Shandong province during coronavirus disease 2019 epidemic are introduced. A system including "Division head nurse-ward head nurse(level 1)-emergency nurse(level 2)-responsable nurse(level 3)" was established. Strategies including management of human resource and nursing units(maternity clinic,maternity wards,delivery room),maternal and their families,health education and psychological protection,emergency disposal process,the infant vaccination process improvement were taken to ensure the physical and mental health of mothers,infants and medical staff.
