Reforming and Advancing Labor in the Gig Economy and Sharing Economies

本文综合"零工经济"(Gig经济)的国际国内典型研究文献,聚焦知识工业时代"Gig经济"改造和提升"劳动"品质的潜力,提出了知识工业时代赋予"Gig经济"与"分享经济"相互支撑、互为发展机会的关系,特别是其赋予劳动除传统形态产业实践之外更为前瞻性的发展机会,给出了这一发展背景下的更为贴切的概念内涵及其相关发展机制,更强调了这一背景下"Gig经济"经由分享经济专业化发展方向再造劳动的匠心价值、从而提升劳动品质的独特作用。而其间作为支撑平台的分享经济及其数字软件平台,也需要高品质和高度多样化劳动的需求来创造和促进自身差别化发展,这一发展关系也可能为我国发展新工业经济业态及其相应的政策和战略提供启示。

This paper explores characteristics of the"Gig Economy,"based on a comprehensive analysis of domestic and international literature,focusing on its mechanism and potential to reshape/reform the concept of"labor,"in a knowledge-based industrial economy.The paper suggests the digital technologies and associated information-based economies makes possible the Gig Economy and more broadly,various types of sharing economies.Specifically,they enable a labor force that can,in addition to traditional labor and industrial practices,operate on an ad hoc and as needed basis-where demand and supply are matched via software platforms.The differentiation and diversification of various sharing economy platforms,are increasingly development foundations for encouraging the quality of a large part of the labor force to be continually upgraded through both economic(market)motivation and by providing self-satisfaction of creativity with subsequent social benefit.This consequences for modern workforces made possible by the Gig Economy and platform software,may provide important implications to relevant policies and firm strategic management concerns in China.
