中国画论中有"空白"之说。如果超越留在画幅上那种素白空间的原初形态,而将其作为艺术境界中的"意象空间"来看,可以说,各类艺术皆以不同的方式讲究"空白"。若将艺术创作中的空白置于由文艺家、文艺作品与欣赏者所构成的审美交流活动的"整一"过程中做动态性审美观照,便会发现其独具意味的张力效应。

There is a concept of“white space”in Chinese painting theory.If we are to go beyond the literal definition of unfilled regions on the canvas,but rather the space for imagery in the artistic sense,one can say that the concept of white space exists in many kinds of arts in different forms.In the process of the integration of aesthetic exchanges between the artists,their works,and the appreciators,if we perform an active aesthetic contemplation on the white space in artistic creations,we can discover the unique tension effect that lies within.
