中医院校本科生毕业论文英文摘要体裁特征及教学启示 被引量:1

On the Genre Analysis of English Abstracts in Graduation Papers of Undergraduates in TCM Universities and Its Teaching Implications

摘要 医学英语写作能力的培养是中医药院校大学英语课程建设的重要目标,但关于医学院校本科生的学术英语写作体裁意识和体裁特征的研究相对匮乏。本研究通过定性和定量分析中医院校本科生毕业论文英文摘要和国际顶级医学期刊英文摘要中背景、目的、方法、结果、结论语步表达的差异以及时态、情态动词、第一人称等使用特征,发现中医院校本科生英文学术论文写作体裁意识较弱,英文摘要语步表达不清晰、时态误用、语篇互动性差,对国际医学期刊英文摘要写作范式了解不足。本研究能为中医院校英语学术论文写作教学提供一定的参考和借鉴,有助于学生撰写符合国际规范的医学英语学术论文,提升学生的医学英语写作能力和国际学术交流能力。 The cultivation of medical English writing ability is an important goal for the construction of college English curriculum in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)universities.However,there is a relative lack of research on the genre awareness and genre characteristics in academic English writing for medical university undergraduates.Through qualitative and quantitative analysis,we have analyzed the differences in the moves of background,objective,methods,results,conclusion,and in the use of tense,modal verb,first person,etc.in English abstracts of academic papers in graduation paper of undergraduates in TCM universities and international medical journals.We have found that undergraduates in TCM universities have weak genre awareness in English academic writing.Unclear moves,misuse of tense,poor textual interaction exist in students’English abstracts.They lack knowledge about the norm of English abstracts writing for international medical journals.It is our hope that this study can provide some reference for the teaching of English academic writing in TCM colleges and universities,guide the students to write English academic papers in line with the international norms,and comprehensively improve their ability in medical English writing and international academic communication.
