Observation of Vietnam-U.S.-Japan Interaction under the Indo-Pacific Strategy:Based on Suga Yoshihide and Pompeo's Visit to Vietnam

越南经济的发展及其优越的地理位置吸引了域外国家不断加强与越南的紧密关系。同时,这也导致越南成为美国推进“印太战略”不可缺少的一环。2020年10月18日至20日,日本新任首相访问越南,双方就技术转让以及其他领域达成了一系列协议,在军备和安全领域也达成了共识。此次出访,日本积极向越南推销了美国的“印太战略”。继日本之后,美国也迅速跟进造访越南。越美日三国在南海地区具有重要的战略利益。就目前的局势来看,中国是日本和越南重要的经济合作伙伴之一,两国的经济发展在很大程度上受制于中国。此外,中美双方经济仍有较大的互补性,难以脱钩。因此,从各国自身的利益出发,和平发展依然是中国、越南、美国和日本关系的大势所趋。

Vietnam's economic development and its superior geographical location have attracted countries outside the region to continuously strengthen close relations with Vietnam.At the same time,this has also led to Vietnam become an indispensable part of the US's Indo-Pacific strategy.The newly elected Japanese prime minister visited Vietnam from 18-20 October,2020.The two sides reached a series of agreements on technology transfer and other fields,and also reached consensus in the field of arms and security.During this visit,Japan actively promoted the US Indo-Pacific strategy to Vietnam.After Japan,US Secretary of State also quickly visited Vietnam.Vietnam,the United States and Japan have important strategic interests in the South China Sea.As far as the current situation is concerned,China is one of the largest economic partners of Japan and Vietnam,and the economic development of the two countries is largely dependent on China.In addition,the economies of China and the United States are still relatively complementary and difficult to decouple.Therefore,proceeding from the interests of all countries,peaceful development is still the general trend in the relations between China,Vietnam,the United States and Japan.
