元好问的《遗山乐府》收词378首,有题序的就有165首之多,善用题序是其词作的特点之一。他的题序不仅数量众多,且涉及题材广。他继承苏辛“以诗为词”的传统,以词来吟咏情性,并偏重词的社交功能。又引史事,史料入词,记载人物颇具史传文学的特质。还将传奇故事,奇闻轶事写入题序之中。自觉突破了词体限制,在题序中融合多种文体,给词体带来了新的生命力。

Yuan Haowen’s Yishan Yuefu contains 378 ci,of which there are as many as 165 ci with title and preface.The use of title and preface is one of the characteristics of his ci.His prefaces are not only numerous,but also cover a wide range of themes.He inherited Su and Xin’s tradition of“regarding poetry as ci”,using ci to sing emotion,and emphasizes the social function of ci.It also cites historical events,historical materials into ci,and records characters with the characteristics of historical literature.Legendary stories and anecdotes are also written into the title and preface.Consciously broke through the limitations of ci,and integrated a variety of styles in the title and preface,which brought new vitality to ci.
