Paul Muldoon is a famous contemporary Irish poet.His poetic works are the writing paradigms of Irish culture and identity.Muldoon makes poetic and deep research by several representative poems written in his first collection of poetry—New Weather,focusing on the Irishness,national and cultural identity and other cultural issues.Under the multiple pressures of history,politics and nation,Muldoon subtly uses the images of animals,fables and other images to reconstruct his own national identity to show his unique talent of poetry creation.
