The paper explains the key points to evaluate the shakedown of nuclear class 1 components by means of elastic stress analysis in accordance with ASME NB code,and how to use the code items and what should be taken into consideration,and proposes an engineering method to determine whether the primary plus secondary stress intensity contains mechanical stress components,and puts forward specific requirement on lading and result saving during stress analysis.So,the shakedown of nuclear class 1 components could be evaluated in a clear way and the results of numerical analysis could be processed with proper methods.
