《经典释文》引《说文》考辨二题

Two Questions on the Citation of Shuowen Jiezi in Jingdian Shiwen

本文讨论了《经典释文》引用《说文》体例的两个问题。第一,清以来学者对《经典释文》所引《说文》是否引本经颇有争议,误解不为少见。经过考辨,可知《释文》引《说文》未必引本经,学者据此而增改《说文》引经的做法有失审慎。第二,《释文》引《说文》“或字”符合其引《说文》以(解)示本字的一贯宗旨。基于此,可纠正《释文》此类条目的传讹与前人误校。

This article discusses two issues regarding the citation about Shuowen Jiezi in Jingdian Shiwen.Firstly,there has been considerable controversy among scholars since the Qing Dynasty over whether the Shuowen Jiezi cited in the original scriptures cites the original scriptures,and misunderstandings are not uncommon.After investigation,it can be concluded that the citation of Shuowen Jiezi in Jingdian Shiwen may not necessarily be based on the original scriptures,and scholars’approach of adding and modifying the citation of Shuowen Jiezi based on this is not prudent.Secondly,the citation of“Huo Zi”in Shuowen Jiezi in Jingdian Shiwen conforms to its consistent purpose of using Shuowen Jiezi to illustrate the original character.Based on this,it is possible to correct the previous errors in such items in the Jingdian Shiwen.
