副文本视角下政治文献翻译传播研究——以《中国共产党的历史使命与行动价值》注释英译为例

副文本是文本重要的组成部分,分为内副文本和外副文本。副文本最早由法国的热拉尔·热奈特提出,为译作的研究提供了新视角,对翻译研究具有重要意义。政治文献翻译在宣传中国执政方略、讲好中国故事、传递中国声音中具有重要的作用。《中国共产党的历史使命与行动价值》是介绍中国共产党一百年来的治国理政理念、实践和成就的重要文献。文献中有前言、专栏、表格、注释等副文本,是翻译文本中不可分割的一部分,其中丰富的注释部分是文献正文本周边的最重要的辅助文本,译者需要灵活采取增译、省译、释义、重构等翻译策略,传递正文未能呈现的重要背景信息,发挥副文本在推广和传播文献的重要作用,向国际社会展示一个真实、立体、全面的国家形象。

Paratext theory was proposed by French scholar Gérard Genette.Paratext is an essential part in the text.It can be classified into the elements which are appended to the text(peritext)and elements external to the text(epitext).Paratext provides a brand-new research perspective for translated text and is of great significance for translation studies.Translation of political documents plays a pivotal role in publicizing the governance strategies,telling Chinese stories as well as delivering Chinese voices in the international communities.The CPC:Its Mission and Contributions is a key political document which mainly introduces CPC’s governance concepts,practices and achievements made over the past century.In this document,the paratexts like preamble,panels,form and annotations are included as an integral part of the translated text,of which a variety of annotations are the key part of the perimeter of the text.In this sense,the translators need to flexibly employ translation strategies such as amplification,omission,paraphrase and restructuring,etc.in a bid to disseminate the unrevealed background information,and give full play its important role in promoting and communicating the political documents,demonstrating China to the world in a real,vivid and comprehensive way.
