伟利《国殇》重译的生态翻译学解读

亚瑟·伟利是20世纪英国著名的翻译家和汉学家,他的汉诗英译作品在西方汉学界享有盛誉。伟利两次翻译《国殇》。本文拟结合翻译适应选择论的核心思想,运用宏观与微观相结合的方法,从"翻译即适应选择""译者中心""汰弱留强""译有所为"四个角度解读伟利《国殇》文本选择的动机、具体翻译操作过程中适应选择的表征以及重译的原因,以期为文学典籍重译研究以及生态翻译学研究提供启示。

Arthur Waley was a famous English translator and sinologist in the 20th century,and his English translations of Chinese poetry enjoyed a high reputation in the field of Western sinology.Waley translated Guo shang twice.Applying the core idea of the approach to Translation as Adaptation and Selection and combining the global and local methods,this paper intends to interpret the motivation of the selection of the Guo shang text,the phenomenon of adaptation and selection in the process of translation and the reason for retranslation of Guo shang.This article develops from the perspectives of“translation as adaptation and selection”,“translator-centered translation theory”,“preserving the strong and eliminating the weak”and“doing things with translations”,so as to provide inspirations for the retranslation of literary classics and the Ecotranslatology study.
