摘要
随着中国对外开放进程的加快和综合国力的增强,中国文化"走出去"成为各界所关注的焦点。本文以中国文学外译期刊《中华人文》为例,从译介目的、译介内容、译介模式、译介途径等方面阐释文学翻译对于国家形象构建的意义,总结《中华人文》的译介经验,并就期刊未来的发展提出建议,以探索通过文学翻译推动中国文化"走出去"并完善国家形象的有效途径。
With the acceleration of China’s opening-up and the enhancement of its overall national strength,overseas promotion of Chinese culture has become the focus of attention from all walks of life.This article,taking the English-language magazine of Chinese literature Chinese Arts&Letters as an example,illustrates the significance of literary translation for the construction of China’s national image in terms of the purpose,content,mode,and channels of translating and introducing the magazine,summarizes relevant experience,and makes suggestions on the future development of the magazine,with a view of exploring effective ways to promote Chinese culture overseas and improve China’s national image through literary translation.
