摘要
西藏山名以其独有的地域性、民族性,传承着丰富的民族历史文化信息。西藏山名英译研究对西藏特色民族文化的传播起着至关重要的作用,是跨文化交流的基础。本文首先对西藏自治区的山名按照通名进行了分类统计,然后对各类山名的英译进行了研究,对各类山名通名的具体英译提出了建议,以期为西藏地区山名英译提供参考和借鉴。
The names of Tibetan mountains inherit abundant historical and cultural information attributing to their unique location and nationality. The study on the English translation of Tibetan mountain names is of critical significance in cultural communication, which is the basis of cross-culture communication. This paper firstly collects and classifies the mountain names of Tibetan Autonomous Region according to the general mountain names. Then the English translation of the mountain names is studied, followed by some suggestions for the specific English translation of various mountain names.Hopefully, the research result may provide some reference for the English translation of mountain names in Tibet.
