国内外形象学翻译研究现状与趋势述评——兼论文学译介的形象学内涵

Recent Developments in and Future Directions for Interconnecting Translation Studies and Imagology:a Critical Review

本文围绕近年来国内外形象学翻译研究的成果展开述评,借此阐明了比较文学形象学视阈中"形象"的实质内涵,廓清了形象学的基本原则,并以理论探讨和个案分析相结合的方式彰显了形象学之于文学译介的阐释力。在此基础上,本文指出当前形象学翻译研究要取得突破,需做到:1)整体上遵循描述性翻译研究的路径,审慎对待价值判断式的观点与结论;2)满足并接纳形象学翻译研究的语境化诉求与跨学科本质;3)加强形象学理论的系统性及其与翻译研究的兼容性。以上做法有助于纠正形象学在翻译研究中的滥用,弥补国内外现有研究结论与理论反思的局限与缺憾,进而推动形象学翻译研究的深化与发展。

This article reviews the recent literature on translation studies informed by imagology,illuminates the connotation of "image" and the basic principles involved, and provides a case analysis to demonstrate the way of interconnecting translated literature studies and imagology. The author proposes three aspects where breakthroughs can be obtained. First, researchers should take a descriptive approach and, to some extent, avoid value-judging arguments and conclusions. Second, the translation and the image in question need to be contextualized from an interdisciplinary perspective. Third, emphasis should be laid on interconnecting translation studies and imagology in a more organized and compatible manner.By exploring the aforementioned aspects, translation scholars can correct the misuse of imagology in translation studies, overcome the current research limitations and complement the present findings and angles.
