铁线莲‘紫莹’是通过‘罗曼缇克’和‘波兰精神’杂交育成的大花晚花品种。木质藤本,复叶具5小叶,3朵单花聚生,花径为11~12 cm,萼片6枚,表面呈紫色,中间略深;背面为浅紫色,中间略深;雄蕊的花药为紫色,花丝为黄绿色。生长强健、适应性强、花量大和花期长,适宜种植于长江以南地区,用于拱门及庭院绿化。
