A New Paphiopedilum Cultivar‘Hu Yue’

兜兰新品种‘胡粤’(Paphiopedilum‘Hu Yue’)是以紫毛兜兰(Paph.villosum)为母本,肉饼兜兰(Paph.‘Pacific Shamrock’)绿色花系为父本,通过人工授粉杂交选育而成。株型中等,叶片绿色,狭矩圆形。花葶近直立或外弯,被紫色短毛,花单朵顶生,直径7.5~11 cm,花瓣和萼片圆整,花瓣中央具有1条明显的深栗色中脉。观花观叶俱佳,易栽培,易开花,花期为12月至翌年3月,单花花期30~50 d。

Paphiopedilum‘Hu Yue’is a new cultivar developed by crossing seed parent Paph.villosum and pollen parent Paph.‘Pacific Shamrock’.The plant has medium-sized plant shape and green narrowly oblong leaf.Scape arching to suberect and covered with short purple hairs,single flower lies in a inflorescence at the top with rounded petals and sepals,7.5–11 cm across,petals with a deep conspicuous maroom midvein.The plant has good ornamental value for flower and leaf and is easy to plant and flower.The flowering period is from December to March of next year.The lifetime of a single flower is 30 to 50 days.
