A New Gladiolus hybridus Cultivar‘Yellow Stone’

‘黄石’(‘Yellow Stone’)是以‘Speed Date’为母本,‘Dawson’为父本,通过常规杂交育种得到的唐菖蒲新品种。叶片草绿色,基生叶剑形,互生,排成列,顶端渐尖,有1条突出的中脉。花朵硕大,花瓣纯黄如绢,边缘有皱褶。可作为鲜切花、花坛和盆栽花卉而广泛种植。

Gladiolus‘Yellow Stone’is a new cultivar obtained through conventional cross-breeding with‘Speed Date’as the female parent and‘Dawson’as the male parent.The leaves are grass-green.The basal leaves are sword-shaped,alternate,arranged in rows,tapering at the top,and with a prominent midrib.The flowers are large,the petals are pure yellow and silky,with terminal spikes and wrinkled edges.It can be widely grown as cut flowers,in flower beds,and as potted flowers.
