西瓜新品种‘红小鲜’

A New Watermelon Cultivar‘Hongxiaoxian’

‘红小鲜’是以自交系16-4小玉为母本,自交系Soul为父本杂交选育而成的小果型西瓜一代杂种。植株生长势强,果实椭圆形,发育期30~35 d,单果质量1.5~3.0 kg。果皮绿色覆墨绿色齿条,果肉红色,中心可溶性固形物含量12%~14%,肉质松脆,水分充足,品质极佳。适宜上海及周边地区春季保护地栽培。

‘Hongxiaoxian’is a new mini watermelon Fl hybrid developed by crossing inbred line 16-4 Xiaoyu as female parent and inbred line Soul as male parent.Its plant has strong growth vigor.The fruit is of oval shape,it takes about 30–35 days for fruit development.The single fruit weight is 1.5–3.0 kg.The rind is light green covered with dark green toothed stripes.Its flesh is red in color and the central sugar content is 12%–14%.The fruit is crisp and juicy,characterized with delicious taste and high quality.It is adapted to to be cultivated in Shanghai and adjacent area in spring in protected field.
