姜花新品种‘和煦’

A New Hedychium Cultivar‘Hexu’

‘和煦’(Hedychium‘Hexu’)是以白姜花(H.coronarium)为母本,黄姜花(H.flavum Roxb.)为父本杂交选育出的优良姜花新品种。盛花期平均株高108.4cm;花序上部苞片卷筒状;与母本比较,小花变小,呈黄色;唇瓣和心部主色均变为黄色;与父本比较,侧生退化雄蕊变为椭圆形(父本镰状披针形),香味变为淡香(父本药香);耐高温。具有较高的观赏性,适宜华南地区栽培。

Hedychium‘Hexu’was selected from F1 generation population which was derived from the H.coronarium as female parent and H.flavum Roxb.as male parent.The average plant height is 108.4 cm when the rhizomes were planted to the full flowering stage.Compared with the female,the upper bracts of the inflorescence became reel-shaped roll-shaped and the florets became smaller and yellow.The color from the center to base of labellum change to yellow;compared with the male,lateral staminodes become ellipsoidal(paternal falcate lanceolate)and fragrance becomes lightly scented(paternal medicinal fragrance);high temperature tolerance.It has high ornamental value and strong resistance to ginger blast,moreover suitable for cultivation in South China.
