杜鹃花新品种‘皖娇’

A New Rhododendron Cultivar‘Wanjiao’

杜鹃花‘皖娇’是由‘本地红’杜鹃花芽变选育而来的新品种。花形半复瓣形,有雄蕊瓣化现象,内轮花瓣略扭曲,花径5.5~7.0 cm,花蕾两朵一束,着生于枝条顶部,花瓣粉白色,边缘有不规则白斑,观赏性强。适宜盆栽,长江中下游地区花期为11月中旬到翌年4月中旬。

Rhododendron‘Wanjiao’is a new cultivar selected from a bud mutation of R.‘Bendihong’.Flower shape is semi-double with petaloid stamen,slightly twisted inside wheel petals.Flower diameters are 5.5-7.0 cm.Two buds in a bunch are borne on top of the branches.Petals are pink-tinged white with irregular white spots along the margin.It has high ornamental value.The cultivar is suitable for potted plants,and the flowering period is from mid-November to mid-April of the next year in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
