木芙蓉新品种‘金秋红’

A New Hibiscus mutabilis Cultivar ’Jinqiuhong’

木芙蓉‘金秋红’是以‘单瓣红’木芙蓉为母本,‘千瓣大红’木芙蓉为父本进行杂交,从杂交后代中选育出的新品种。花为粉红色、重瓣,花瓣倒卵形,少量结实,花期7月上旬至12月中旬。花期长,花量大,抗病虫害能力较强,是一种观赏性极高的园林植物。

’Jinqiuhong’ is a new Hibiscus mutabilis cultivar selected from the F_(1) obtained by crossing ’Danbanhong’ as female parent and ’Qianban Dahong’ as male parent. The flower is pink,double-petaled,with obovate petals and a few seeds. The flowering period is from early July to mid-December. It has the advantages of long flowering period,large amount of flowers and strong resistance to diseases and insect pests. ’Jinqiuhong’ is a highly ornamental garden plant.
