A New Ornamental Lotus Cultivar‘Taoling Shipian’

观赏荷花‘陶令诗篇’是由‘大师’和‘秣陵秋色’杂交选育而成的橙色、重瓣新品种。植株中型,立叶高29~62 cm,叶长径25~35 cm,短径22~28 cm,花高35~74 cm,花径11~15 cm,花瓣数90~103枚。花橙色,瓣尖紫红色,中部橙黄色,基部黄色。花色新颖,色彩绚丽,内瓣背面橙红色脉纹明显;开花后期内瓣朝上聚拢,花态特异。

The new cultivar‘Taoling Shipian’is an orange and double-petalled lotus.The parents are‘Dashi’and‘Moling Qiuse’.‘Taoling Shipian’is a medium size lotus,and its erect leaves is 29–62 cm in height.Long diameter of leaves is 25–35 cm,and short diameter is 22–28 cm;flower height is 35–74 cm;flower diameter is 11–15 cm;petal number is 90–103.The flower of this new cultivar is orange;tip is purple-red;middle is orange yellow;and base is yellow.The flower color is novel and brilliant with clear dorsal veins.The inner petals gathered upward in the post-flowering stage,and its shape is extremely special.
