A New Pumpkin Cultivar‘Strong 7’as a Watermelon Rootstock

‘思壮7号’是印度南瓜与中国南瓜杂交一代新品种。种皮白色,种子千粒质量220 g,适于作为‘早佳’等中小果型西瓜的砧木。高抗西瓜枯萎病,对黄瓜绿斑驳病毒病有较强的耐性,耐低温性和耐湿性较强。主根发达,吸肥力强,茎秆粗壮,嫁接亲和性好,成活率高,嫁接苗长势强,嫁接西瓜易坐果,‘早佳’/‘思壮7号’果实平均单果质量5.69 kg,较‘早佳’/‘全能铁甲’提高0.19 kg,平均产量为51105 kg·hm^(-2)。嫁接后对果实品质无明显影响,果糖、蛋白质等含量略高于西瓜实生苗。

The new cultivar‘Strong 7’is a hybrid of Indian pumpkin and Chinese pumpkin.The seed coat is white and 1000 seed weight is 220 g.It is suitable for grafting‘Zaojia’watermelon and other small and medium fruit watermelon.It has high resistance to watermelon Fusarium wilt,cucumber green mottle virus,low temperature and moisture.The main root is developed,the fertility is strong,the stem is strong,the grafting compatibility is good,the survival rate is high,and the grafted seedlings grow strongly.The grafted watermelon is easy to bear fruit.The average single fruit weight of‘Zaojia’/‘Strong 7’is 5.69 kg,which is 0.19 kg higher than that of‘Zaojia’/‘Omnipotent Iron Armour’,and the average yield is 51105 kg·hm^(-2).The content of fructose and protein was slightly higher than that of watermelon seedlings.
