红翅槭新品种‘冬韵’

A New Acer fabri Cultivar‘Dongyun’

‘冬韵’是从红翅槭(Acer fabri Hance)实生苗中选育出的新品种。冬芽呈深红色;叶片由原品种的全年呈绿色变为从冬季到初春呈红褐色;小枝由原品种的全年呈绿色或褐色变为从冬季到初春呈紫红色。嫁接繁殖,适合在长江中下游地区园林绿化中推广应用。

Acer fabri‘Dongyun’is a new cultivar selected from a mutant of the Acer fabri seedlings.The color of winter buds were deep red;the color of leaves were changed from green(throughout the year of the original cultivar)to reddish brown(from winter to early spring);the color of branchlets were changed from green or brown(throughout the year of the original cultivar)to fuchsia(from winter to early spring).It could be widely popularized and applied for landscaping in south of the Yangtze River by grafting propagation.
