A New Mid-early Maturing Muskmelon Cultivar‘Zhetian 401’

‘浙甜401’是早中熟厚皮甜瓜杂交一代新品种。果实椭圆形,成熟时果皮果肉均为白色,质地松,口感鲜香,立架栽培单瓜质量约1.8 kg,果肉厚3.8 cm左右,中心可溶性固形物含量17.0%以上。果实发育期38~42 d,平均产量36.0 t·hm^-2以上。适宜浙江地区早春保护地栽培。

‘Zhetian 401’is a mid-early maturing hybrid cultivar of muskmelon with good quality and high yield.The color of its pericarp and flesh is white.The fruit is oval shaped,with crunchy texture and good edible quality when ripe.Under upright cultivated condition,the average fruit weight is about 1.8 kg,flesh thickness is 3.8 cm.The fruit development period is 38-42 d.The soluble solids content in the central part of fruit is over 17.0%.The average yield is 36.0 t·hm^-2.It is suitable for protected cultivation in Zhejiang Province in spring.
