A New Early-maturing Chieh-qua Cultivar‘Xinxiu’

节瓜新品种‘新秀’为早熟杂交种。植株生长势较强,坐果能力强,商品瓜圆筒形,皮色深绿有光泽,头尾匀称无棱沟,单瓜质量300~400 g,瓜长15.0~16.0 cm,横径6.0~7.0 cm,肉厚约1.5cm,肉质嫩滑致密。从播种至初收,春季约73 d,秋季约54 d。丰产性好,平均产量60 t·hm^-2。中抗枯萎病,抗逆性较强,适应性广,适合华南地区春秋季栽培。

‘Xinxiu’is a new early-maturing hybrid of chieh-qua.This hybrid has a vigorous growth potential and strong fruit setting ability.The fruit is cylindrical with dark green skin and no furrow.The fruit is 15.0-16.0 cm in length,6.0-7.0 cm in diameter,and 1.5 cm in flesh thickness.The average weight of the fruit is about 300-400 g.The fruit flesh is dense with good taste.The period from sowing to first harvest is about 73 days in spring and 54 days in autumn.The general yield is 60 t·hm^-2.The hybrid is medium-resistant to fusarium wilt and extensively adaptive to grow in spring and autumn in South China.
