Analysis of Business Chinese Teaching Design in East-Asia Tongwen Academy

东亚同文书院密切服从、服务于日本全面侵华,尤其是妄图从经济上垄断中国的现实需要,以培养熟悉中国情况的专业人员为办学目标,在有针对性地开设国际商务课程的同时,超常重视中文和汉字的专门用途教学,并辅之以为培养目标服务的中国文化研习。同时理论水平和实际技能兼具的教师很了解中国语言文化,这在日本中文教育界也是特有的。该校培养了一大批熟悉中国情况的专业人员,为日本全面侵华“道夫先路”。

East Asia Tongwen Academy was closely subordinate to and served the needs of the full-scaled Japanese invasion of China after the First Sino-Japanese War.It especially attempted the economic monopolization in China,thus it offered international business courses in a targeted way,and attached great importance to the teaching of Chinese characters with special purposes and the study of Chinese culture,with the goal of training specialists who knew China pretty well.At the same time,the teachers with both theoretical knowledges and practical skills had a great mastery of Chinese language and culture,which was also unique in Chinese language education in Japan.The school had trained a large number of specialists who were familiar with China issues,and it paved the way for the invasion of China.
