Application of Mathematical Model to Research on Social Medicine

社会医学主要研究社会因素与人群疾病、健康的关系。尽管社会因素与人群疾病、健康关系错综复杂,但由于现代医学的发展和电子计算机的广泛应用,社会医学研究资料(包括定性资料)都可数量化处理。数学在社会医学研究中的作用,概括起来有两方面:一是运用概率论,数理统计方法做好研究设计和处理研究数据;二是提供数学模型,从而阐明社会医学的一些理论问题。马克思说过:"一切科学只有在成功地运用数学时,才算真正达到完善的地步。"社会医学也不例外。

This paper describes the effects of mathematics on the social medicine research, which can be summarized as follows: first, we can make the research designs and processes the reseach data with probability theory and mathematical stantistocs;and second, can provide the mathematical models for clarifying some theoretical problems in social medicine. In this article the mathematical models of the experimental formulas and the models of the probabilily functions (e. g., models of exponential function, bi-exponential function and poisson distribution, etc.) are introduced, which can be applied in the social medicine (e. g., child intelligence development, human ecology, infectious state of snail fever and familial aggregation of leprosy, etc.).
