概念意义视角下图像意义密度分析框架探索

Exploring the Analytic Framework for Semantic Density of Images from the Perspective of Ideational Meaning

文章旨在在系统功能语言学概念意义视角下,探索图像意义密度的分析框架。研究发现,在概念意义视角下,决定图像意义密度的要素有两个:图像的内部结构组织和外部关联性。依据这两个因素构建的图像意义密度分析框架属于一种系统网络,它将图像意义密度视为一种意义潜势,对系统进行选择可生成具有不同意义密度的实例,可有效分析比较不同图像的意义密度。文章还提出了权力图像这个概念,希望引起教师对这类图像的重视,从而更好地培养学生的图像读写能力。

This paper aims to explore the analytic framework for semantic density of images from the perspective of ideational meaning in Systemic Functional Linguistics.It is found that from the perspective of ideational meaning,two factors determine the semantic density of images,i.e.,the images’internal structural organisation and external relations.The framework established based on these two factors is a system network which takes semantic density of images as a meaning potential.Instances of images with different semantic density can be generated from the system,which makes the system a useful framework for analysing and comparing semantic density of images.In addition,this paper proposes the concept of power images,hoping to arouse teachers’attention to such images so as to better cultivate students’image literacy.
