The Ministry of Natural Resources has recently released the China Mineral Resources Report(2020)(hereinafter referred to as the"Report").The Report disclosed that in 2019,the country invested 99.34 billion yuan in geologicalexploration,including 82.129 billion yuan for oil and gas geological exploration,with increased by 29%;17.211 billion yuan for non-oil and gas geological exploration,which decreased by 0.9%.79 new mineral deposits were discovered nationwide,including 55large and medium-sized ones.By the end of 2019,there was a rise in the reserves of 34 important mineral resources including natural gas,manganese and alumina.The investment in fixed assets in the mining industry increased by 24.1 percent,and the production and consumption of 10nonferrous metals,gold and cement continued to rank first in the world.
