Chinese Regular Script:From Calligraphy to Typeface

特定的文化赋予字体独特的属性。楷书在中国文化中占有举足轻重的地位,它不仅维系着中国书法的发展过程,同时还承载着延续中华文明的功能。本文通过系统梳理中国楷书体的发展历史,呈现楷体字从书法、书写文字进入印刷,并最终通过数字化进入信息时代的过程。本文通过对作为手写体的楷书的研究,去发掘汉字正文字体设计的方法和基础理论,以及楷体字与教育、信息传播、中国古代与现代文明之间的关系。

A culture imparts unique attributes to its writing system.The regular script plays a vital role in Chinese culture.It not only maintains the development of Chinese calligraphy but moreover performs the function of proceeding Chinese civilization.By systematically combing through the development history of Chinese regular script,this paper presents the development process of the regular script going from calligraphy,writing to printing,and finally into the data age through digitization.By studying the regular script as handwriting,this paper explores the methods and fundamental theories of Chinese text font design and the relationship between the regular script and education,information dissemination,ancient Chinese,and modern civilization.
