Studies on a Marriage Certificate of Huizu in the Republic of China Period Collected in Nanjing Museum

南京博物院收藏有一套民国初年的汉文—阿拉伯文合璧回族结婚证书。结婚证书、封套以及发行结婚证书的南京清真董事会的启文两封齐全,内容比较丰富,可以比较充分地反映民国回族社会既延续传统的伊斯兰婚俗又紧跟文明结婚时代潮流的基本特色。

Nanjing Museum has a collection of Huizu’s marriage certificate in the Republic of China period.This marriage certificate was printed in both Chinese and Arabic languages.The whole marriage certificate has a certificate,an envelope and two public letters which were issued by Nanjing Islamic Directorate(南京清真董事会).We can know that the marriage of Huizu’s society combined both Islamic tradition and modern style in the Republic of China period by this marriage certificate.
