The development of Chinese contemporary music creation has entered a new prosperous situation where many excellent Chinese music works with new music forms and profound cultural connotations are constantly emerging.It is a brand-new topic that needs to be considered urgently in front of the performers that how to carry out the second creation of music to match for the performance concepts and techniques,to further excavate the musical style and cultural connotation contained in the works with vivid sounds in the perspective of performance.Chou Wen-Chung's piano solo The Willows Are New is unique because of its tidy musical language,fresh musical style,rich cultural connotation,and ingenious combination of Eastern and Western creative concepts and techniques.At the same time,the music is extremely challenging in terms of piano performance techniques and music interpretation.So,multi-dimensional discussion and the discussion under the performance perspective of this work are also endowed with important representative significance.This article will discuss several aspects,such as the infiltration of Chinese philosophical and artistic thoughts,the rendering of the artistic conception of Tang poetry,the strength expression of calligraphic art,the“transplantation”of Guqin timbre and performance techniques,aiming to interpret and excavate cultural dimension of Chou Wen-Chung's music creation which integrates Chinese and Western music in the perspective of piano performance.
