"She-Devil" and "Witch" in Automated and Free Writing:Analysis of Fay Weldon and Can Xue’s Female Images

就当代小说而言,小说女性人物显示出了某种"恶魔性"。"恶魔性"的女性小说形象塑造的目的和意义不外乎是进一步的反叛性。小说中对"恶"的描写,引发了当代都市文学发展中的一个道德评判问题。英国当代作家维尔登和中国当代先锋作家残雪在小说女性形象的塑造过程中,通过"随意书写"和"自动写作"的手法展现了都市女性潜意识中的"邪恶"特征。然而,女性形象的"邪恶"却是为了以一种极端叛逆姿态来警醒读者,从而促进社会的两性融合。

As for the contemporary fictions,the female characters present a kind of"evilness".The evilness of the female characters is created to show their further rebellion.The descriptions about evilness lead to moral judgment in the development of Chinese and English urban literature.Can Xue and Fay Weldon,as representatives respectively in Chinese and English female writers,employ the methods of automated writing and free writing to display the images of Witch and She-Devil in their fictions and expose the"evil"feature in the subconsciousness of urban women.However,this evilness is only a way of writing,for the purpose to alert readers with these extreme rebellious images.In this way the gender harmony of the society can be accomplished.
