Review and Outlook:An Overview of the 10^(th)Anniversary of the Journal of Modern Life Writing Studies and the“Life Writing in the Digital Age”Symposium

2023年12月16—17日,上海交通大学传记中心举办《现代传记研究》十周年庆典暨“数字化时代的生命写作”学术研讨会。来自国内外二十余所高校、出版社及相关机构的五十余位专家、学者、出版人等出席了本次庆典活动及研讨会。与会代表回顾《现代传记研究》十周年的历程,讲述与它结缘的故事,评审委员会公布了优秀论文评奖过程并宣读获奖名单。在学术研讨会上,学者们的发言和讨论集中阐释了数字化时代背景下传记真实性面临的挑战、传主的选择、传记学科的发展方向等重要问题,并在重新解读经典中寻求对传记新问题的突破。

On December 16th to 17th,2023,the Center for Life Writing of Shanghai Jiao Tong University celebrated the 10th anniversary of Journal of Modern Life Writing Studies and hosted the“Life Writing in the Digital Age”Symposium.More than fty experts,scholars,writers and publishers fom over twenty universities,publishing houses,and other organizations from home and abroad attended the ceremony and symposium.The speakers shared their experiences and connections with the journal,while the editorial board announced the process of selecting outstanding papers and released the list of 12 outstanding papers.The presentations and discussions focused on the challenges to the authenticity of life writing and the selection of biographical subjects.They shed new light on the development of life writing as a discipline,and aimed to seek breakthroughs through the reinterpretation of classics.
