“Fictional Reality” and the Construction of the Spiritual Image:A Study of Li Changzhi’s Biographies

传记在漫长的发展过程中,越来越重视传主的人格特征和思想精神,也更重视传记家的主体作用。李长之的人物传记在事实材料的基础上,从精神传统、理想人格和作品风格三个维度对"虚构的真实"进行了很好的解释和发挥,建构了生动活泼的传主精神形象。他的创作一方面拓宽了传记家的自由空间,另一方面也坚持了传记的真实性,对传记创作和解读有启示作用。

In the long process of biographical development,more and more attention is not only paid to the personality and thought of the subject,but also to the biographer’s role.Li Changzhi’s biographies illustrate the"fictional reality"in three dimensions,including spiritual tradition,ideal personality and style of works.Therefore,vivid images of subjects are constructed in them.On the one hand,Li Changzhi broadens the space of the biographer,and on the other hand,he insists on the authenticity of biography,which is instructive in the creation and interpretation of biography.
