The Humanistic Dimension of Education in the Era of Big Data

摘要 教育的人文性之所以再次成为亟需探讨的主题,既源于对大数据时代教育发展现状的深刻反思,也是推进教育数字化、实现教育高质量发展的现实要求。关于教育人文性的讨论由来已久,其意涵在于“人为根本”的价值取向,即教育本质上是“现实的人”通过“自我建构”从而成就“自我实现”的人类实践活动。但从现实来看,大数据时代智能技术的快速崛起正在严重冲击教育的人文本性,在强烈的技术导向下人的主体地位逐渐弱化,数据算法的滥用正在束缚人的自由发展,对技术的过度依赖也在一定程度上掩盖了人才是教育的起点。面对大数据引发的技术狂热,应首先冷静沉思技术驱动教育的可能限度究竟何在,既要揭开“技术万能论”的神秘面纱,引导工具理性与价值理性和谐统一,也要正视技术的角色与功能,在技术环境中积极拓展教育人文性的全新生长空间。 The reason why the humanity of education has once again become an urgent topic to explore is not only due to the profound reflection on the current situation of education development in the era of big data,but also a practical requirement to promote the digitization of education and achieve high-quality educational development.The discussion on the humanity of education has a long history,and its implication lies in the value orientation of“human beings are fundamental”,that is,education is essentially a human practical activity in which a“person in reality”attains“self-realization”through“self-construction”.However,from a practical perspective,the rapid rise of intelligent data technology in the era of big data is seriously impacting the humanistic nature of education.Under a strong technological orientation,human subjectivity is gradually weakening,and the abuse of data algorithms is constraining free development of the human being.The excessive reliance on technology also conceals that human is the starting point of education to some degree.Faced with the technological frenzy triggered by big data,we should first calmly contemplate the possible limits of technology-driven education,then uncover the mysterious veil of the“technology omnipotence theory”,guide the harmonious unity of instrumental rationality and value rationality,face up to the role and function of technology,and expand the new growth space of educational humanity in the technological environment actively.
