Imagining the Future at the Zhejiang Provincial Museum:Museums’ Recovery and Reshaping in the Post-covid Era

2021年5月18日是第45个国际博物馆日,今年的主题为“博物馆的未来:恢复与重塑”。在世界范围内疫情常态化防控的背景下,博物馆如何应对多重挑战,及时调整完善自身功能定位与发展方向,积极探索新发展、新模式、新方案,是全球博物馆普遍要思考和面临的问题。本文就浙江省博物馆自身情况、在疫情时代中面临的困境进行讨论,延伸至后疫情时代博物馆存在的一些机遇及挑战、博物馆应该有哪些对策,以及浙江省博物馆面对机遇和挑战做了哪些探索和实践。

The 45th International Museum Day was celebrated on 18 May 2021 and devoted to the theme "The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine". While anti-COVID measures have become a new normal worldwide, museums throughout the world need to consider and address how they cope with multiple challenges, swiftly adjust and update their role positioning and developing orientations while exploring new progress, new models and new plans. The paper outlines the Zhejiang Provincial Museum’s situation and difficulties it has been faced with during the pandemic and goes on to identify museums’ opportunities and challenges as well as solutions they should offer in the post-pandemic era. The explorations and practices the museum has undertaken in response to these opportunities and challenges are also described.
