《重修八里庙记》碑,清顺治时钦差临清砖厂工部营缮清吏司员外郎霍叔瑾撰文。该碑内容详细地介绍了清初驻扎张秋的北河工部分司主事阎廷谟重修八里庙大河神祠的经过,是研究八里庙在明清黄河、运河交汇地重要地位及河神信仰的珍贵资料。碑文与方志、文集、实录可相互印证、比较,对于厘清史书记载讹误与不足具有重要价值与意义。

The Story of Rebuilding Bali Temple was written by Huo Shujin,a Commissioner of Linqing Brick Factory,who was sent to repair the monument in Shunzhi of Qing Dynasty.The content of the monument is a detailed description of Yan Tingmo,the chief director of the Beihe Engineering Department stationed in Zhangqiu in the early Qing Dynasty,who rebuilt the Bali Temple Temple’s Great River Temple.It is a valuable material for studying the important position of the Bali Temple at the confluence of the Yellow River and the Canal in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the belief of the river god.The inscriptions can be verified and compared with local chronicles,anthologies and factual records of Ming and Qing dynasties,which is of great value and significance in clarifying errors and deficiencies in historical records.
