《重修云冈石佛寺碑记》作者考证——兼论顺治元年修缮活动

A Textual Research on the Author of“Rebuilding the Stone Buddhist Temple in Yungang”--On the Renovation Activities in the First Year of Shunzhi

《重修云冈石佛寺碑记》收于光绪《左云县志》,无作者,此碑已佚失。碑文以第一人称撰写明末起义军将领过天星张天琳入占大同城,并被斩杀一事。结合其它古籍资料对李自成入占大同一事的记载,认为碑记作者为大同总兵姜瓖。同时,根据碑文结尾偈语及顺治四年(1647年)所挂“西来第一山”匾额推测,这次修缮活动内容为彩塑、金装、补修石窟及重修第7、8窟窟檐木构建筑。《重修云冈石佛寺碑记》所载是入清以来对云冈石窟的首次修缮活动,对其作者及修缮活动予以探讨,有助于完善云冈石窟修缮历史。

“Rebuilding Yungang Stone Buddha Temple Stele”was collected in Guangxu’s“Zuoyun County Chronicle”.It was anonymous and this stele was lost.The inscription was written in the first person in the late Ming Dynasty about Zhang Tianlin,the general of the rebel army,who took over the city of Datong and was beheaded.Combined with the records of Li Zicheng’s entry into Datong,it is believed that the author of the inscription was Jiang Cheng,the general soldier of Datong.At the same time,according to the verses at the end of the inscription and the plaque of“The FirstMountain fromtheWest”hung in the fourth year of Shunzhi,it is speculated that the content of this repair activity includes painted sculptures,gold decorations,repairing grottoes,and rebuilding the eaves of the 7th and 8th caves.The repair activity of Yungang Grottoes in“Reconstruction of Yungang Stone Buddha Temple Inscription”is the first since the Qing dynasty.Discussing its author and repair activities will help to improve the repair history of Yungang Grottoes.
