云冈石窟第39窟探讨

An Exploration of Cave 39 of Yungang Grottoes

云冈石窟第39窟是云冈现存8座中心塔柱洞窟中开凿较晚的一座洞窟。其洞窟形制、窟门装饰、窟顶平棊、造像内容、造型样式以及表现手法等与其他中心塔柱窟均有不同。第39窟中心塔柱是云冈石窟中规模最大、保存完整的一座中国传统阁楼式塔,是人们认知北魏木结构佛塔样式的重要参考资料。与其他中心塔柱壁面龛像设置的比较,可见第39窟是一座以佛教涅槃思想为主题的洞窟,在云冈石窟中独具一格。

Cave 39 is one of the eight existing central tower pillar caves in Yungang Grottoes,which was later excavated.Its grotto shape,grotto door decoration,grotto top flat base,statue,modeling style and expression techniques are different from other central tower pillar grottoes.The central tower pillar of Cave 39 is the largest and well preserved Chinese traditional attic tower which is an important reference for the understanding of the style of the wooden pagoda in the Northern Wei dynasty.It is unique in that it is a cave with the theme of Buddhist nirvana.
